The Miracle of Christmas – Hope Hanging by A Thread
Christmas is very exciting!! I think it’s the most exciting holiday among all the holiday – since you got to get some presents and you can also get to give presents the lights, the eggnog the gingerbread cookie – the nut cracker
Genesis 12:2–3 [TNIV]
Why am I maintaining my integrity? Nobody cares.
Nobody is promoting me, nobody is even noticing.
They laugh behind my back because I’m a Christian and I have standards,
and they wonder what the heck I’m doing it for. And you know what?
I’m beginning to wonder what I do it for.And you are a student, and you are just not going to cheat, and everybody cheats, and you wonder, Why don’t I cheat? Nobody gets caught; I won’t be caught. Why am I so narrow? Why am I so conservative? Why am I always wondering what God thinks?
The good news is this: if that’s your situation, there’s nothing wrong with you. If that’s your situation, welcome to the common experience of those who’ve placed their faith in Christ and have decided to follow him in spite of what they see around them. Welcome to the world of Zechariah and the world of Elizabeth—a couple that decided we are going to walk blamelessly before our God in spite of what we see, in spite of what people say, and in spite of the fact that we can’t even imagine—we can’t even imagine how God would even give us a child.
